This project was truly a journey! My longtime client and friend, Reese El Don, had been developing the cover art for his studio album since mid-2018. Initially, we had no clear creative direction, but the release of his single "Selena Og" in February 2020 ignited a spark. We crafted a rich narrative universe around the album, envisioning a listener embarking on a flight where "Selena Og" cannabis is served. As the journey unfolds, the listener experiences a series of songs, culminating in the vision of a native woman appearing in the clouds and ascending into space as the flight gains altitude.
